Welcome to the Official Website of the Nassau County Firefighters Emerald Society

Greetings brother and sister firefighters!

Welcome to the Nassau County Firefighters Emerald Society website. Over the last two years we have made great progress in restoring the Society as a major firematic force in the County. Here are a few of our recent accomplishments:

  • A reengineered website with fire vender sponsors
  • The reestablishment of the High School Scholarship
  • The return of fiscal stability
  • Enhancing our relations with brother Emerald Societies in Suffolk County and NYC
  • Providing the Honor Guard to the President of Ireland
  • Providing the Honor Guard at a LI Ducks game
  • Instituting the highly successful department membership program
  • Updating our face-book account on a regular basis
  • Our 60/40 raffle is an on-going source of revenue
  • Our raffle in cooperation with the AOH Div 20 produced $1500 in 2020
  • Offering polo shirts, tee shirts, and facemasks for sale to members
  • Annually our officers have been sworn in by Legislator Nicollello, Congressman Suozzi, Supervisor Bosworth, and County Executive Laura Cullen.
  • Our 2020 fundraiser following the Mineola parade generated $1,700 and was attended by over 300 members
  • Opening full membership to EMS agencies and NYC Volunteer firefighters
  • Reestablishing the Emerald of The Year Award
  • And finally the reestablishment of the Nassau County Emerald Society Medal of Honor which is in the works!

During 2020 and 2021 we were proud to support many firefighter benefits throughout the county in support of brothers in need in Bellmore, Lindenhurst, Riverhead, and Eats Meadow among many others.

It has truly been an honor to serve as your President over the last two years and I look forward to continuing our progress. Prior to the pandemic we were in the early stages of planning a four day trip to Ireland and that will be on the table again when circumstances allow.

Thank you for visiting our page and we hope to see you at our meetings again when they open up!
